The 2011 CCAA Men`s Soccer National Championships came to a fitting end with an intense match between the NAIT Ooks and Holland Hurricanes. Despite good passing and several close kicks, the game remained scoreless at the end of the first half.

The 2011 CCAA Women`s Soccer National Championships culminated in a finale between the NAIT Ooks and host team the François-Xavier-Garneau Élans. NAIT opened the scoring with a goal by Nicola Weber (#3) in the game`s 33rd minute.

The 3pm match featured the Humber Hawks and host team the Élans du Collège François-Xavier Garneau. The Hawks` Yousuf Mohammad (# 20) scored the opening goal in the 40th minute; the Élans` Samuel Sévigny (#9) would respond with a point in the 77th minute.

The second day of the national championships opened with the Humber Hawks battling the Ahuntsic Indiennes. The Indiennes took the lead 4-1 in the first 42 minutes, and Humber responded with two additional goals for a 4-3 result in favour of the Indiennes.

The last game of day two of the Championships was opposing the Cavaliers de Champlain-St-Lambert to the Hurricanes of Holland. The first goal of the game has been scored by Dino Bikic (#11) of the Cavaliers de Champlain-St-Lambert at the 15th minute of play.

Opening the third day of the national championships were the NAIT Ooks and the Humber Hawks. The Ooks took the lead in the game`s 13th minute with a goal by Kelly Tataryn (#10).

The VIU Mariners bested the Champlain College St-Lambert Cavaliers with a final score of 3-0. Stephen Ewashko(# 17) scored all three goals, allowing his team to proceed to tomorrow`s bronze-medal match.

The women’s bronze medal game was between the Indians of Ahuntsic and the Wolfpack of Thompson Rivers University.

VIU Mariners won 3-1 and the bronze medal againt F.-X.-Garneau College. British Columbia’s players kleaded 1-0 at the half time.
